I made my first iMovie yesterday.
Nope, it isn’t a masterpiece. I didn’t get the aspect ratio correct—if you are viewing it on your mobile phone it won’t fit to the screen if you turn your phone sideways (sorry!). It’s just shy of two minutes in length, has four different music clips, and the only words are the two in the title: Autumn Splendor.
We’ve had a few blustery, rainy days here in Seattle (no kidding!) and I was just soaking up the gorgeous trees on my neighborhood walk. There is something magical about trees when they lose their leaves or cones, carpeting the surfaces below. Sometimes the fallen leaves are so thick it is hard to tell where the man-made sidewalk ends and grass or earth begins.
Looking up into partially-clad deciduous or robust coniferous branches is an antidote to the stressors of modern life. There is a freedom to breathe in and exhale deeply, knowing that nature’s life cycle is working just as it should.
I hope you enjoy these two minutes—share if it made you smile!
